Not all who wander are lost, are they? At the moment, I am happily wandering in India, where I am studying Sanskrit, philosophy, teaching yoga and wandering in the search of wonder.

By nature and by choice, I am a wanderer and an eternal forager for truth and adventure. For about half the year I am either teaching yoga in Austin, TX or Honolulu, HI. The other I live in Varanasi, India where I spend the warm days and cool nights studying, exploring, and teaching, seeking glimmers of beauty and simplicity. Each day of life offers a treasure trove of sights and smells, of love and loss, of expectation and discovery, and of struggle and ease. The beauty and energy of life is found in the pulsation between the expected and the unexpected and the wanted and the unwanted. What is life really without the little and big surprises that catch our breath and make us think? And, it is this that I seek and that which I hope to share through the practice of Hatha Yoga and the Yoga of Kashmir Shaivism.

When one enters into the state of yoga, every detail in life becomes a source of wonder (camatkara). Whether we cultivate that through asanas of the body, practices of the mind, or travel to inner or outer wordly spaces training in art and science of yoga allows us to become closer to the divine that is already residing within, just waiting to be recognized

For over 15 years, I have been studying and exploring forms of yoga (Hatha: Shivananda, Iyengar, The Yoga of Krishnamacharya (Viniyoga) and Anusara ) and cultivating my own practice. This exploration has meandered down the paths of many systems and now has settled into the flow of Trika Tantra (Kashmir Shaivism). Trika is a highly refined, and elevated practice of yoga that embraces all means to recognizing the divine within.

Through the years, I have trained and studied with marvelous teachers both internationally recognized and local heros. I recognize all my gurus and hope to honor them by sharing even a little of the wondrous gifts they have given. I invite you to take part in this practice of yoga in order to train yourself to embrace little and big adventures, the mundane and bizarre, and secrets and surprises and most of all the joy of wonder that arises from the bliss within.
